Many people choose this area to visit or buy a property as it still has that special Spanish feel to it. A landscape of rear beauty, Torreviejas Salt lake is pink and has its own salt mine, with the La Mata Salt Lake being green in colour and is where the park’s Interpretation Centre is located. As well as being a protected natural environment, these lakes provide a special micro-climate to the area, which makes it an important and highly desired tourist and health destination. For those that love to take a relaxing walk or cycle in the fresh air, surrounded by nature, this reserve is the most tranquil place you will find so close to the coast.
