Property for Sale in Lo Pepin Spain
Tips for buying a home in Spain if you are a foreigner
It is estimated that two out of ten foreign tourists who visit Spain during the summer months plan to buy housing here. In this article we give you some tips so that everything goes round.
Our biggest recommendation if you are a foreigner is that you inform yourself and understand what the basic process of buying a property in Spain consists of. The process is similar in many aspects to buying housing in your country of origin or in other countries of the European Union, but there are some differences.
As much as possible, we recommend that you:
Visit the house personally before paying.
That is to say, that you check first hand the state of the house, the surroundings, the transport routes that connect with the area, etc.
Collect information about the seller.
You must go to the Land Registry and check your legal and urban situation. This way they avoid real estate scams.
Do not forget to go through El Registro de la Propiedad.
Once acquired, register the property in the Land Registry (Registro de la Propiedad) to demonstrate that you have the absolute rights of the house that has been acquired in Spain.
Check the terms of the contract for the sale.
If a deposit contract is made prior to the Notary go to an expert who verifies the content of the contract and its effects
