The Spanish real estate sector consolidates its recovery
The purchase and sale of real estate confirms its upward trend in 2016, 26%, with an estimated 445,000 units sold at the end of the year, while for 2017 the forecast for growth is 12%.
The real estate sector is definitely back in Spain. Despite the political and economic uncertainties experienced during the year 2016, with more than 10 months of Government Functions, data from the sector indicate that this year has been the consolidation of the recovery for one of the sectors most affected by the Last economic crisis.
The price of housing continues a positive trend, with an increase of 4% on average in 2016. New housing, meanwhile, is reduced by almost 20%, a figure that is expected to remain in 2017. Among the main factors of this reactivation of the sector we find a greater fluidity of the mortgage credit, the increase of the investment interest, the stabilization of the prices and the reduction of the rate of unemployment.

The rise in prices of new construction compared to second-hand housing is a good symptom, indicating that we are in a recovery phase and that in 2017 we will see how the new construction recovers after many years without cranes in sight .
